What we’ve been up to…

…cleaning and organizing our basement!
One of the things on the top of my list was going through all my boxes of old school papers, letters and cards I’ve received over the years, and other mementos. I found this hilarious thing I’d written for school when I was ten. It is appropriately titled My Cat Stormy (spelling and [...]

…you get Austenbook!
This is the most hilarious thing I’ve read in a long time!
Do read it all the way through; it is frightfully funny , if you are at all familiar with Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, and especially so if you are at all familiar with Facebook. I nearly died laughing!!

Austen entertainment

After attempting to get the most recent version of Austen’s Emma on DVD from our local library, and instead getting a most horrid version of it, we were discussing its horridness in comparison to the one I had tried to get.

Logic

A few weeks ago, my sister and I were standing in the kitchen giggling and laughing histerically about who knows what. (At that point, we found everything funny).  My sister said, (this is translated from between giggles), “We’re really goofy right now.”

then came Georgette Paquette,
next was Lorette Paquette,
and lastly, Paulette Paquette.
When I [...]

Oh, the versatility of Masking Tape

All was going well. We had just arrived at church, and after returning a glass platter that we had borrowed from church to the church kitchen, I was headed up the steps to the sanctuary. I could hear the service starting already, and I was thinking happy thoughts as I skipped up the steps.
And then [...]

Antique Mama

Somehow as we were riding along on our way to Colorado, the subject of old cars came up, and I pointed out a rusty old car that sat rejected, neglected, abused and confused in the field by the road.  My father then began a discussion of this particular car and its age.
“That car is a [...]

Two years ago around Easter, I played the harp at a lady’s home for her open house. She owns many pieces of religious artwork, statues, etc. Last Sunday, the lady had another showing of her home, and I played for it again.

I have posted here two pictures from the open house two [...]
