This election did not turn out like many Christians had hoped. Even though I personally was not an avid McCain/Palin supporter and I never really expected them to win, I can empathize with the dissapointment and confusion many now face. It can be hard to believe that God is still good. It can be hard to believe that He knows best. It can be hard to believe that He can bring glory to His Name through what seems like a hopeless situation.
But we must remember that God is not a Republican, and neither is He a Democrat. He cannot be put into man-made boxes. He is above boxes. It is blasphemy to say, “God is on our side!” Who are we to say such a thing? Would not we rather be on HIS side?
Yet, we can trust Him. He’s proved Himself trustworthy for a long time. He is faithful. He is good. He is merciful. He is in control. He is not suprised. It’s all part of His plan.
We asked for His will, not our own.
Shall we refuse it now that He has given it to us?
So surrender your fear and worry to Him. Give Him your yoke, and take His instead. It’s much lighter and easier to carry than yours. And remember to cast your cares at His feet. Give them up, and don’t take them back.
It’s sweet to trust Him.
When God doesn’t seem to make sense,
trust Him anyway.

God and Jesus did not get involved with politics (nor did they wage war over one religion or another). Remember what is Ceasars is Ceasars and what is God’s is God’s. It’s in the Bible.
Pay your taxes and be a good citizen. Worship God since he is spiritual not government.
As our Constitution states…separate the two so we have freedom of religion not control by the largest or richest religious group.
God has not taken sides with either party or 3rd party candidates. We do that.
You play the harp beautifully. What a talent for music you have truly been blessed with.
I am so glad you see it this way. After all, it is the Lord that picks the rulers.
God has a kingdom waiting for us. And he’ll rule, not for 4 or 8 years but for ever. No voting in heaven! :-)
While we are in this earth temporally we don’t have to panic about the results because, as you said, Bryant, the Lord is in control. Doesn’t this give us peace? The Lord knows better than us.
And Bryant, you played the harp wonderfully!
Take care
Andreu
P.S. I was traveling north in France with the truck when I heard live by the BBC radio (the British Broadcasting Service Radio) how the final voting polls were doing, the live speach of Mr. McCain when he knew he lost and when Mr. Obama won.
Wow — that was beautiful! You are SO talented! :)
Blessings!
What beautiful music to bless one’s heart and to bring peace to the soul in troubled times.
My 6 year old daughter has similar hair to yours and wants to be “just like Bryant” when she’s a teenager!
