A number of weeks ago, I was tagged to share six random facts about myself. I’ve done a post like this before (you can read it here), so I decided to write a 7 x 7 post: 7 categories with 7 facts about me in each.
Here goes!
7 things I would like to do before I die (or before Jesus returns):
- Get married.
- Have children.
- Sew a Civil War era ball gown.
- Wear a hoop-skirt.
- Visit Europe.
- Go on a missions trip to India or the Phillipines.
- Hmmm…can’t think of another one at the moment
7 things I say a lot:
- “Good morning! (This is one of my absolute favorite things to say, and I am often known to say it, even when it isn’t morning!) :)
- “That was delicate.” (such as when I run into things that were terribly obvious)
- “You know what I’m saying?” (when I want to make sure the person I’m talking to understands what I’m saying)
- “It’s just not right.”
- “Oh, stop it! I’m being serious!” (to my dad when I’m trying to say something important and he’s making one of his hilarious faces [grin] )
- “I think so, but I don’t guarantee anything.”
- “Why?” (I love asking this question!) :)
7 things I cannot do well:
- Play basketball.
- Keep secrets.
- Play the violin.
- Keep from whispering to my sister during church when something the pastor says reminds me of something funny that happened.
- Parallel park.
- Eat liver. (I detest liver)
- Not go out for a walk or run on a gorgeous day.
7 things I’d want in a husband:
- Is pure and has tried to save himself for me.
- Values modesty and appreciates my efforts to dress modestly and save myself for him.
- Loves the Lord.
- Loves children.
- Has regular devotions and seeks guidance from the Lord about everything through prayer.
- Is respectful and honoring to those older than him, especially to parents and elderly people.
- Is a hard-worker.
7 movies I like:
- One Night with the King
- Martin Luther (made in 2004 I think)
- Pride and Prejudice (especially the older version)
- Sense and Sensibility
- The Nativity Story
- I Dream of Jeanie
- Prince Caspian
7 favorite books:
- God’s Word
- Tip Lewis and His Lamp
- Passion and Purity (Elizabeth Elliot)
- Hind’s Feet on High Places (Hannah Hurnard)
- Stepping Heavenward (Elizabeth Prentiss)
- A Young Woman After God’s Own Heart (Elizabeth George)
- The Case for the Real Jesus (Lee Strobel)
7 things I love to do:
- Play the piano
- Play the harp
- Sew
- Write in my journal
- Study the Scriptures
- Talk with my sister and with friends
- Take long walks and “runs”

Fun! I enjoyed reading your 7 x 7 facts! :)
At first I thought it would be a 7″x7″ special photograph you took. :-D Well, I can now say I know you 7×7 better! :-)
Really glad you have a heart for the Lord.
One of my dreams is get married too and have children. My parents have 5 boys and one daughter… In my experience as one of them I must say I’m so glad we are so many! When we were kids we never got “bored”. :-)
That was a wonderful post!
P.S. If you and your parents do come to Europe be sure to come and see the north-east of Spain. I’d love to show you all cities like Barcelona, Girona, and the beautiful “Costa Brava”-our Mediterranean Sea coast-. :-)
In any case I’ll maybe take some shots of the area and post them in my “Travel and Photography” blog.
I thought for sure that one of your favorite things to do was spending vacation time with Uncle John and Aunt Sandra. Just kidding:)))))
Oh, of course it is!!! I think often about the great time we had on the train watching Micah Noel eat cheesecake a la mode! [grin] (she’ll die of embarrassment when she sees this) :)
Had fun reading your 7×7 post! I seem to relate
to you a lot!:) I love that picture of you in that
hat… you look so cute!

Hey – cool! I’m making the 7th comment regarding your 7X7 post!
So, just like Aunt Sandra, I thought for sure spending time with your Aunt Patty was one of your favorite things……”It’s just not right!” “You know what I’m saying?” :-)
I really enjoyed reading this post, Bryant!! I haven’t been to your blog for a long while—some of that was because you were doing some changes, or something like that. :) Anyhooo, just wanted to drop by and say thanks for your comments and encouragement. :) I really like finding out fun facts about friends :) I hope you are doing well and I’m sure life is keeping you busy! :D ttyl
Hi Bryant!
I my goodness! Everything you said could have been me!! That is hilarious! Of course, I say a few things differently, that’s where we differ (I say “It was such a riot!” and “Oh, good heavens…”) but my dad makes faces at me and I say the same things… and I my list of ‘hopes in my husband’ also includes swing dancing. I love it!
Thanks for your comments ;-)
Phylicia
How fun! This is a very creative way to do this!
It’s so good to see you up and running again! It seems like forever since I’ve been on here! I look forward to future posts!
I have GOT to be more careful when posting! Sorry for the confusion – the above post by Nikki was actually by me. I forgot to change the name and such. Sorry! :)
Hey Bryant,
I am being serious, no faces, when I say I learned some new things about you from this post, and I liked what I learned.
I am also being serious when I say not only do I LOVE YOU, but that I LIKE YOU AS WELL!!!
DADDY
Hi.. I found your blog though someone else but I though it was kind of neat you had written you would like to sew a civil war era ball gown … do you sew period clothing? :) Well I do and I specialize in Civil war clothing and you don’t see that alot that people want to sew then…..have great day in the Lord….
~Katie
No, actually I’ve never sewn a period costume before, only regular clothing. But I have several period dress patterns I would love to start on, if only I can find enough fabric that isn’t too expensive!
