Stepping in

October 2, 2008 by ~Bryant

“Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: ‘When you reach the edge of the Jordan’s waters, go and stand in the river.’ ”

-Joshua 3:8

God often acts wen people are willing to make a total commitment to Him. Not waiting untill He makes the way absolutely, without-a-doubt clear, but stepping out in faith.

The Levite priests had to step into the river Jordan before God parted it for them. They had to step in, and leave the rest to God. The way was still a little foggy, but they stepped in anyway.

Determine where you think God wants you to go, what He wants you to do, and go do it.

It has to be a faith commitment.

Christianity ought to represent a better way to a broken and dying world–

so step in.

    Sinner. Saved by grace.

Jesus, You be lifted high in my life,

And I fall to my knees,

So it's You that they see,

    Not I.

    Jesus, You be lifted high!

  • "You were made to feast on Christ. To be satisfied with Him. To treasure His infinite value. To enjoy making much of Him all your days. Here is your fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore. Not in being made much of, but in making much of Him."

You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
