Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.
1 John 4:11-12
That is what I want. That, and that alone. That is my prayer, that is my aim: that Christ’s love, His perfect work, would be made complete in me.
But what does it mean, for Christ’s love to be “made complete” in me?
- It must mean completeness, wholeness, in loving others, even those who are just plain hard to love.
- It must mean God’s love heals and rids my soul of all bitterness, anger, hate, and contempt, fills it up so much with His love that nothing can “spill out” but His love! There’s no room for envy or contempt.
There’s “No Vacancies.”
