Little things.
All around us. Everywhere. Everyday. But do I notice the beauty in them? Or am I so busy that I don’t even realize they are there? It is the little, everyday things that make up life: a friendship, a smile, a hug, a flower, a sunset, a good laugh, a song. Yet how often I miss the blessing of them because I’m too busy to stop and thank God for them?
God’s Word :: the fresh taste of Orbit spearmint gum :: sunshine :: green apple Jolly Ranchers :: wildflowers :: the joy of talking with good friends :: second chances :: opening my window for the first time in months and inhaling the cool, fresh air :: a smile :: the smell of freshly baked whole wheat bread :: new life :: the feel of my toes in freshly hoed dirt :: the changing seasons ::
the feel of the cool breeze on my cheeks :: music :: the joy of serving :: the excitement of an almost-finished skirt :: beautiful sunsets ::There are so many little things, little blessings God bestows on us.
Notice the little joys of life, savor them, and thank Him for them.

I’m thankful for the snow that changes our world so dramatically. It’s neat to see everything draped in white as if it were a wedding. :)
I’m thankful for warm fires and fuzzy slippers, sunshine and oatmeal! =)
I am thankful for frozen meals so I don’t have to make a sandwhich tomorrow!:)

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with string, these are a few of my favorite things…
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudle, door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles, wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, these are a few of my favorite things…
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes, silver white winters that melt into spring, these are a few of my favorite things…
Ooops, I forgot….puppies and nieces… these too are a few of my favorite things! :-)
Umm…….the Lord’s new mercies for me each day, brothers, the excitement of a annticipated trip, sewing a new skirt….oh- and dear friends’ blogs!! :)

Almost finishing a sewing project… sleep-overs… someone new commenting on my blog… Mass… a friendly smile… snow falling (right now!) … sweets … reading a good book… tomatoe and basil flavored wheat thins =) … doing my hair and having it turn out nicely … much more!
