It is in relying upon our Maker during the times of the plough that new seeds of faith can be planted deep in the sorrowing soul.

The flower of faith does not bloom under any light but that which is hot and intense. And yet it must be watered so that it does not become parched and withered—
“Take our tears, O Lord, as an offering. Pour them upon the empty field so that they be not wasted. Produce the crop YOU so desire. Perform, preserve and protect that which is of most value to you Lord—that which You have planted deep in the heart of your people. Forsake not the work of Thine own hands.”

That’s beautiful! I love the part,
“It is only that which strains the heart to extremes that can teach the heart to stretch more.”

Thank you, Bryant, for sharing this. Truly faith must grow in the sunshine and the rain. And God is a faithful Gardener – he never does forsake the work of his hands.
