Photo editing fun
September 15, 2007 by ~Bryant
To my great delight, I recently happened across a photo editing CD among our other CDs. It was so fun just browsing around in the program, and trying things out!
For example, take this picture of my sister and I:

Now with a few cool effects, you get this:

Hmmm….maybe a little too….squarish?
But how about this?

You don’t like the pinhole either? Me neither.
Maybe I need something with a little less drastic change to it, perhaps?
Oil paint is nice……

I like it! How about you?
And of course, just a simple blurred border…..

Very nice! Simple and pretty!
Favorites, anyone???

I just LOVE the pinhole one! Just kidding! :) I like the blurred edges. It’s not like cropping–it’s more like diminuendo: it brings the picture to an end slowly, if you know what I mean.
Haha! Those are great. I think the last two are my favorites, especially the oil paint one. I should get a photo-editing program sometime. That’d be nice. :-)
Joyfully,
Mandy
My fave is probably the blurred border, it’s very simple and beautiful!
I have to admitt it, I like the first one better- I don’t think it is too squarish!!! :) Photo Editing is fun, if you have time for it!! Miss You, Bryant!!!

I like the last ones. Photo editing is so fun! What you did looks like things I do too. I have a program called Arcsoft and also Photo Impression 4 and Photo MVP. I got them free with my digital camera. I was wondering what program you got?
I also like the post with the picture of you and your sister on the troll! How sad his favorites are the cutest cars:( I’ll have to remember to keep my Beetle away from him! (If I ever got one!) LOL
Thanks for commenting on my blog!

The program I found is a Cosmi Corporation Swift Jewel Photo Editor+. I believe it is several years old, but it works just great!
hahaha playing with photos is fun! I love the simple blurred border, very pretty.
I came across your blog via Google’s BlogSearch, I was bored and typed in “harp ensemble”. I play, too! I have a L&H Prelude and run a group called Canticle that uses music to minister to people in nursing homes, hospice, etc.
Nice to meet ya, I like your blog!

It’s already such a beautiful, sweet picture, so I have to vote for the last one. :-)
