Natural Hair Rinses~

After shampooing use one of these rinses as a final rinse. Rinse hair with the coolest water you can stand for at least one full minute after using these rinses:
(Each recipe makes one application.)
Lemon Juice: The juice of 1 lemon and 1-cup water, mixed, brings back life and shine to dull hair.
Baking Soda: 1-tablespoon baking soda and 1 cup water, mixed, removes hair spray and gel residue
Apple Cider Vinegar: ½ cup apple cider vinegar and 2 cups water, mixed, gives your hair shine and bounce.
Tomato Juice: 1 cup of tomato juice will remove any odors, such as smoke, from your hair.
I tried the lemon juice rinse this morning and had great results! I also highly suggest rinsing your hair with very cold water for at least one minute at the end of your shower. Although it sounds quite unpleasant (it is :), I have found that my hair is silkier, stronger, and I also don’t have so much come out in my hairbrush!

Does not the very nature of things teach you…that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.

I’ll have to try these! I’ve tried rinsing my hair with coooold water . . . . . but that was a while ago. Maybe I’ll try doing it again (if I’m brave enough!).
Does the apple cider vinegar rinse make your hair smell? Do you have to use shampoo or conditioner afterwards?
Hi, Aliisa!
This morning I used the apple cider vinegar rinse, and I shampooed my scalp (I never use shampoo on the rest of my hair, unless I’ve been to a campfire), then I used a little conditioner, and rinsed with the cider vinegar, then ran the cold water for a minute to rinse any conditioner left. I just sniffed my hair, and it doesn’t smell bad! :-) I was a little worried this morning, but it doesn’t! :-)
I can agree that cold water and apple cider vinegar rinse for hair is an excellent treatment!
I also really like the Pearl’s hair treatment mixture, though it is a horrid, sloppy mess, and is quite the hassle! :-)
Bryant, I hardly recognize you. That lemon juice not only changed your hair color, but also made you much younger. Wow!!! I hope it does the same for me.
Hey Bryant!
I tried the Apple Cider Vinegar and Katie said it made my hair look healthier and I think it gave it more shine. Thanks for the tips!
Haven’t heard from you and Micah Noel for a long time! I miss you two!
Love,
Kourtney
P.S. Did you know that the Lemons would lighten your hair?
