I have watched the newly made Pride and Prejudice twice, and on Saturday I watched the older version of it. I really like them both, and it is hard to decide which I like best!! :-)
I like the Charlotte Lucas, and Charles Bingley characters in the old P&P best. I really like the detail in the old P&P.
But I like the Caroline Bingley and Wickham characters in the new P&P best. I like the music in the new P&P, and the ballroom scenes are better than the old P&P.
I like the new P&P a lot, but not more, but I think if I would have watched the old one first, I would have liked it best. Since I watched the new one before the old, I kind of think as the people in the new P&P as the characters they play, so then the old one doesn’t seem as nice. But they are both really nice, and I can’t make up my mind as to which I like best!! Anyone more decided than me??? :-) Tell me which you like best, and what you like about it!!!
Well, I like the old P&P, but maybe that’s because I saw it first. I liked all the detail it had. Then I saw the new one and was disappointed because I felt it rushed through the story and the actors weren’t perfectly cast.
But that is just my opinion. I did like the new one to some extent, but the old was waaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

The old one is absolutely the best one!!!! I LOVE the old one!!!!
I like the actors, the way they quote the book, LOVE the music etc…

Ahh, I like the old one the best. Like Martha said, we saw it first. :) Guess it’s the one you see the first…But I thought it had more details, and the movie had a cleaner feal. Maybe it’s just me. :)
I like the old one better. It’s my favorite out of the four that I’ve seen! :D Then is the new one, then the one with Greer Garson, and last the BBC one. I’ve found different quizzes online and so far I’ve been, Elinor (S and S), Col. Brandon, Marianne, and Lydia Bennet. :D

I LOVE the old one and DO NOT like the new one (some very strong opinions, there!). I love everything about the old one, and dislike everything about the new one (no unanswered questions there!)

I must agree heartily with Aliisa…
I absolutely LOVE the old “P&P”, but DESPISE the new one. To today’s standards it was a clean movie, but I found there to be too many “liberties” taken both with the story itself and the manner of the characters.
As for the old one, it is so rich in detail of characters and plot.
It is fun to know that there are other girls who enjoy “P&P” as mucn as I do!
